Pharmacy Aseptic Manufacturing Services are located at both Aintree University Hospital & Royal Liverpool University Hospital sites within the Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT). LUHFT holds a Specials manufacturing licence (MS) and a clinical trials supply licence (MIA(IMP)). LUHFT also has a Home Office Licence for the supply of Controlled Drugs.
As an organisation, we are dedicated to providing quality services, and validating and maintaining our level of quality. We work closely with Quality Control North West (QCNW) Liverpool, and benefit from their services in sterility and chemical testing of our products to ensure safety and quality to the end user.
Quality Control North West laboratories are approved by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) as providers of quality control laboratory services, and are individually accredited under the UKAS scheme (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to the ISO/EIC 17025;2005 standard.
